Demo mode, explained
You can play every game on Brooksmissy without an account. Here is what demo mode does, and what it deliberately does not.
Open any game on Brooksmissy without signing in and it starts straight away in demo mode. We built it this way because the best way to find out whether you like a game is to play it, not to fill in a form first.
Practice credits, kept in memory
In demo mode you play with 20,000 practice credits. They live only in the memory of the page you have open. Nothing is written to your browser's storage and nothing is sent to us, so when you reload the page or close the tab, the demo simply starts again from the top.
If your practice credits run out, the balance quietly refills and a short note lets you know. That is all: no prompts, no pop-ups asking for anything.
How you can tell
We make demo mode hard to miss. You will see it in four places:
- A banner on every game page that reads: Demo mode, nothing is saved.
- A note the first time you play a round, reminding you that progress is not saved in demo mode.
- The balance itself, which says Demo in front of your practice credits.
- The player bar at the bottom of the screen, which shows you as a guest in demo mode.
Exactly the same games
Demo games are not cut-down versions. They use the same rules, the same pays and the same random results as games played on an account. Every feature, from Dive spins in Kingfisher Cove to the pearls in Moonlit Koi, works in exactly the same way.
What an account adds
A free account is about saving, nothing else. It keeps your Pebbles, starting with 25,000, along with your level, Club tier, favourites and recently played games. It also opens the Holt, with the Lily Wheel, Skim cards, Errands and the Weir meter, and the player care tools: the time reminder and Take a break.
Your account is kept in your browser too, never on our server. When you join you get a recovery key, which is the only way to reset a forgotten password, so keep it somewhere safe.
Practice credits and Pebbles are both just scores. Neither has any cash value, and neither can be bought, withdrawn or exchanged. Brooksmissy is for adults aged 18 and over in the UK, and for entertainment only.
18+ — for entertainment only. No real money play. No prizes of monetary value.
