About Brooksmissy

The idea

Brooksmissy started from a simple question: what would casino-style games feel like if you took the money out of them entirely? No shop, no offers, no pressure to come back. Just the parts that are fun on their own: the clatter of reels settling, a board filling with pearls, the moment a card turns over.

So we built a games room that works like a games console in your browser. You can open any game straight away in demo mode, or join free to keep your progress. Everything you play with is Pebbles, a points score that has no cash value and is never for sale.

We work the way a small studio does: we draw, write, tune and test every game ourselves, and we would rather make a few things carefully than many things quickly.

Meet Missy

Missy is a river otter, and she is the reason the site is called Brooksmissy: Missy of the brook. She collects smooth stones from the stream bed, which is where Pebbles got their name, and she lives in the Holt, which is what an otter's den is called. That is where you will find the Lily Wheel, the Skim cards, Errands and the Weir meter.

The Club tiers follow the water downstream, from Ripple and Rill to Brook, Stream, River and finally Delta. When you level up, Missy leaves a few Pebbles by your door; if you run out, she tops you up for free.

What we make

There are 24 games on Brooksmissy, and every one of them is our own. We design the rules, make the artwork and sounds and write the code in-house. None of them is a copy of a game from anywhere else, and no game comes from an outside provider.

• Slots on five reels, from calm fruit-machine classics to lively river coves.
• Hold & Spin games where orbs, pearls and coins lock in place for respins.
• Cascades, where clusters pop and new symbols tumble down.
• Instant games: a fairground wheel, a pebble drop, a lily-pad hop, dice, a scratch card and a keno-style pick.
• Table games: twenty-one, a single-zero roulette wheel and hi-lo.

Each game has a rules page that lists everything it pays, and every result comes from your browser's own random number generator. You can read more in how results are made.

What we never do

• We never sell anything. There are no purchases, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no paid extras.
• We never offer real-money gambling, and Pebbles can never be withdrawn, transferred or exchanged for money or anything else.
• We never run prize draws, sweepstakes or competitions, and nothing on the site is a prize.
• We never show adverts, and we never use analytics, tracking pixels or third-party scripts.
• We never link to gambling sites or promote other games or apps.
• We never send your account to our server. It stays in your own browser.

Who it is for

Brooksmissy is for adults aged 18 or over who live in the United Kingdom and enjoy casino-style games as a light, free pastime. It is not for children, and it is not a way to practise for gambling: playing or success in social casino gaming does not imply future success at real-money gambling.
