Short answers to the questions players ask most, from demo mode and recovery keys to Pebbles, fair results and privacy. Brooksmissy is free, for adults aged 18 or over in the UK, and for entertainment only.

Getting started

What is Brooksmissy?

Brooksmissy is a free-to-play social casino games site for adults in the UK. It has 24 original slots, Hold & Spin, cascade, instant and table games, all played with Pebbles, a points score with no cash value. It is for entertainment only: no real money play and no prizes of monetary value.

Is it really free?

Yes. There is nothing to buy anywhere on the site: no shop, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. We never ask for card or bank details.

Can I play without an account?

Yes. Every game opens in demo mode with 20,000 practice credits held only in the page's memory. Nothing is saved, so reloading the page starts the demo again. A free account keeps your Pebbles, level, favourites and rewards.

Who can join?

Adults aged 18 or over who live in the United Kingdom. We ask for your date of birth when you join and do not create an account for anyone under 18.

Which devices and browsers work?

Brooksmissy is built for up-to-date versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on phones, tablets and computers. JavaScript and site storage need to be switched on. Private or incognito windows forget everything when they close, including any account made in them.

Accounts and sign-in

Where is my account stored?

Only in the browser you created it in, on your device. Nothing about your account is sent to our server, so we cannot see it, look it up or restore it. Your password and recovery key are stored as PBKDF2-SHA-256 hashes, never as text.

I have forgotten my password. Can you reset it?

We cannot, because we never hold your account. On the sign-in page, choose to reset your password with your recovery key: enter your email, the key and a new password. You then get a fresh recovery key to keep.

What is a recovery key?

A code of sixteen letters and numbers in four groups, shown to you once when you join. It is the only way to reset a forgotten password, so write it down or keep it in a password manager. If you are signed in, you can make a new key from your account with your password.

Can I use my account on another device?

No. An account lives in one browser on one device and cannot be moved. You can create a separate account in another browser, but its Pebbles and progress are kept separately.

Why can I not sign in?

Check that you are using the same browser and device you joined on, and the same email address. After five wrong passwords in a row, sign-in pauses for one minute to protect your account. If the browser's site data has been cleared, the account no longer exists.

How do I delete my account?

Open your account page and choose to delete the account; you will be asked for your password. Clearing this site's data in your browser also deletes it. Either way it is permanent.

Pebbles and rewards

What are Pebbles?

Pebbles are the points you play with. They are a score and nothing more: they have no cash value, they are never sold, and they cannot be withdrawn, transferred, traded or exchanged for money, goods or anything else. A new account starts with 25,000 Pebbles.

What happens if I run out of Pebbles?

You can take a free top-up of 5,000 Pebbles and carry on. Top-ups are never sold and there is nothing to pay. In demo mode, practice credits refill on their own.

Can I give Pebbles to a friend or sell them?

No. Pebbles stay in your own account and cannot be passed to anyone else, sold or bought. Offering to trade Pebbles or accounts anywhere breaks our Terms of Use.

What is the Holt?

The Holt is Missy's den, where account holders find free extras: the Lily Wheel, Skim cards to scratch, Errands and the Weir meter. Everything there is on the house and none of it needs a purchase.

How do Errands work?

You get a board of three small tasks, such as trying three different games. Each task hands out Pebbles when you collect it, and once all three are collected a new board appears on its own.

How does the Weir meter fill up?

The Weir is your own meter, and it fills with 2% of the Pebbles you play. When it reaches 2,000 you can collect 1,000 Pebbles; the next marks are 6,000 (2,500 Pebbles), 15,000 (6,000 Pebbles) and 40,000 (15,000 Pebbles), and then the meter starts again from the first mark. It belongs to you alone, so nobody else's play affects it.

How do the Club tiers work?

Every round you play earns experience, and experience raises your level. Each new level leaves a gift of Pebbles. The tiers are Ripple from level 1, Rill from level 5, Brook from level 10, Stream from level 20, River from level 35 and Delta from level 60.

Games and fairness

How are results decided?

By your browser's cryptographic random number generator, at the moment you play. Every round is independent: results do not depend on your account, level, balance or earlier rounds. Our fair play page explains more.

Do guests and account holders get the same chances?

Yes. Demo mode and accounts use exactly the same games, rules and random results. An account only adds saving: your Pebbles, level and rewards.

Where can I see what a game pays?

Every game has a "Rules & pays" button that opens its rules page, with how the game plays, how its features start and everything it pays.

What do calm, lively and wild mean?

They describe how a game feels. Calm games return smaller amounts more often, wild games have longer quiet spells between bigger moments, and lively games sit in between.

A game froze or looked wrong. What should I do?

Reload the page, which fixes most hiccups. If it happens again, tell us which game, what you saw and roughly when through the contact form. If a fault shows a result that does not match the rules, the rules apply.

Safer play

What player care tools are there?

Every account has a time reminder, every 30, 60 or 90 minutes or off, and a Take a break option. You will find both in your player care settings.

How does Take a break work?

Choose 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days and all games on your account are paused for that time. Each game shows a pause screen instead of the board; the rest of the site still works.

Where can I get help with gambling?

The National Gambling Helpline, run by GamCare, is free and confidential on 0808 8020 133, 24 hours a day. GAMSTOP, Gordon Moody, Gambling Therapy, the NHS and Gamban can help too; our Safer play page has the details.

Does doing well here mean I would do well gambling?

No. Playing or success in social casino gaming does not imply future success at real-money gambling. Our games are made to entertain, not to train anyone for gambling.

Privacy and storage

Do you use cookies?

No cookies at all. We keep a few small notes in your browser's storage so that your account, the age check and your choices work. Our Cookie Policy lists every one.

What do you keep on your server?

Only messages sent through the contact form (name, email, topic, message, IP address and time, kept up to 12 months) and short counters that stop the form being flooded (kept for one hour). Your account never reaches our server.

Do you track me or show adverts?

No. There are no adverts, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts, fonts or images on Brooksmissy.

How do I change my cookie choice?

Use the Cookie settings link at the foot of any page to open the notice again, then accept or reject optional storage. The only optional item is the sound setting for visitors who are not signed in.

Still stuck?

Send us a message and we will get back to you by email. For player care questions you can also write to care@brooksmissy.co.uk.
